Light spice, cereal and floral aromas give way to a crisp and clean finish. Perfectly balanced throughout, this beer has been engineered for refreshment .

The German purity law, Reinheitsgebot, forbids the use of any other ingredients outside the original three – Water, Barley and Hops. Producing a beer under these regulations leaves little room for error when it comes to ingredient selection and technical brewing ability. WelfBräu is a clean, delicate and refreshing beer.

The literal translation of WelfBräu is “the brew of Welf”, which relates to the House of Welf, a European dynasty that has included many German and British monarchs from the 11th to 20th century. It was during this time, on 23rd April 1516 to be exact, that the then Bavarian ruler, Duke Wilhelm IV, decided to adopt the now famous German purity law for beer, Reinheitsgebot. This law was actually brought in to protect the people of Bavaria, as they needed to drink beer on a daily basis as it was a reliable clean water source.

WelfBräu Premium Pils is a classic German Pilsner, with purity at its heart.
